Setting off you will cruise under the Grade I listed Marlow Bridge designed by William Tierney-Clark before passing Marlow itself on your right.

Continuing upstream past the village of Temple you will soon be at Temple Lock, and then through Temple Lock, passing the prestigious Harleyford Estate on your right before approaching Hurley Lock.

Once up through Hurley Lock the long reach to Hambleden is ahead of you. Here the countryside is abundant and the scenery is magnificent. The calm waters and splendid riverside properties conjure up memories of the heyday of Henley as the perfect riverside destination.
Henley-on-Thames, home to the world-renowned Henley Royal Regatta, has an attractive waterfront with many moored boats and resident swans. It is a traditional market town and home to Asquiths, the world-famous teddy bear shop and a wonderful selection of options for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
Cliveden Reach is renowned as one of the prettiest spots on the Thames.
Cruise downstream from Cliveden House through Boulters Lock and pass under Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s Sounding Arch – the widest brick span bridge in the world at Maidenhead. To this day the trains on the Great West Railway, and soon Crossrail, use this bridge constantly. Boulter's Lock has a wonderful Riverside Brassier with doors opening onto the terrace, its greatest asset is that river view where you can watch the boats and people tootling by.
Boulter's Lock was formerly called Ray Mill Lock, after the adjacent mill owned by the Ray family who produced flour. The first-ever lockkeeper was the miller's son, John. The mills became Boulter's Inn in 1950. The word 'bolter' is an old English word for miller, hence the name Boulter's Lock.
Continuing towards Bray you'll pass some beautiful properties, home to the rich and famous, the keen-eyed may spot a celebrity or two. At Bray, you'll arrive at a lovely local restaurant for lunch or dinner.
