What are The Best Classic and Super Cars Shows?

If you are a classic car lover, September is the month to be in the UK. Many of the world’s most beautiful classic cars will be on display in two of the most stunning settings in the English countryside.

The Concours d'Elegance events take place all over the world. French for a “competition of elegance”, these exclusive events attract the owners of prestigious vehicles who bring their prized possessions to be displayed and judged. The origins date back to 17th century France, where aristocrats paraded horse-drawn carriages in the parks of Paris during summer weekends and holidays.

Often, the competitiveness of a Concours d'Elegance forces restoration of a vehicle to surpass "mint" condition, requiring that it is even better than it was when it originally left the factory. Concours-quality cars are often given upholstery, paint, plating, and mechanical restoration to a standard far exceeding that of the car when it was new.

One of the joys of seeing the collection of classic cars is the focus on staying true to the heritage. The rules don’t permit modifications and the restoration projects are true to the original build features.
  1. Salon Prive Concours d’Elegance at Blenheim PalaceYou can be sure  that the 50 motorcars and 20 motorcycles on display are some of the rarest and most valuable vehicles in the world today. This is a day to truly admire and appreciate beautiful machinery in the most spectacular of surroundings. The weekend unfolds with an incredible gathering of Bentleys and culminates on the Sunday with an amazing display of classic cars and supercars, all in one place.
  2. Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court PalaceThe Concours of Elegance will bring together a selection of 60 of the rarest cars from around the world – many of which will never have been seen before in the UK. Many of the Concours cars will also take part in a 2-day driving tour in the days running up to the main Concours event. Uniquely, the Concours of Elegance winner isn’t selected by a panel of judges but by the owners of the cars themselves.
Beauty, tradition and elegance will be the order of the day as you choose your personal favourite from the elite collections.
