Anne Hathaway’s Cottage

A beautiful 500-year-old picturesque cottage where Shakespeare courted his bride-to-be. See original furniture including the Hathaway bed and uncover five centuries of stories in this picturesque cottage and 13 generations of the family who lived there. Enjoy the stunning cottage gardens, and explore the Shakespeare inspired sculpture trail.

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is owned by the Royal Shakespeare Company dedicated to the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare.

Delivering Shakespeare’s iconic works with finesse on stage across three theatres, the RSC showcase the creativity behind every performance by offering behind the scenes tours with expert guides covering all aspects of the productions. From conception to completion including auditions, set design, costumes and much more.
 
The Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres are on the western bank of the River Avon, with the adjacent Bancroft Gardens providing a scenic riverside setting. The Rooftop Restaurant and Bar overlooks both the river and the Bancroft Gardens.
