Explore our beautiful formal gardens that run down to the River Thames, featuring sparkling fountains, glorious displays of over 1 million flowering bulbsand 750 acres of tranquil royal parkland with one of our knowledgeable guides. The Cumberland Art Gallery at Hampton Court houses a changing display of paintings from the Royal Collection, reflecting the palace’s long history as a place to see great art. Discover magnificent artworks by Rembrandt, van Dyck, Gainsborough and other great artists on a private tour led by an expert guide.
Starting at 9am you will have the Palace completely to yourselves for an hour before it opens to the general public. The tour last for two hours and includes breakfast in a private apartment after your tour. You can then choose how to make the most of the rest of your morning: The Palace gardens are wonderful and include the world-famous maze, in which it is far too easy to get lost!
Working horses are part of our heritage. Did you know that Henry VIII was the first to start breeding Shire horses? He wanted a Great War Horse, capable of carrying a knight in full armour. He even forbade the export of horses to ensure that the enemy would never be able to breed a horse to match his "Shires". Still classed as the largest horses in the world and even rarer than the Giant Panda, we welcome you to come and meet the descendants of Henry's great horses at Hampton Court Palace.
Your will arrive at the palace for 9am before it opens to the general public and meet the palaces very own footmen and beautiful shire horses before you climb aboard your very own carriage and are taken around the Great Fountain and Home park for a 45 minute carriage ride. Upon arrival back to the palace you will enjoy a delicious breakfast in a private apartment. The tour includes your personal guide and starts at 9am for 3 hours.
Enhance your palace experience with a personal guide and a private apartment to enjoy some delicious refreshments. Opening out into the Great Fountain Garden, Apartment 6 is the perfect setting from which to explore the myriad of spaces within the palace.
