Foraging has been popular for some years now, with enthusiasm for gathering food from wild and natural places only increasing as we look to reduce our
plastic waste and live more sustainably. To forage is to get outside, in your urban or rural environment, to open your eyes and to seek out the food
that is growing around you that you can access for free. Foraging courses are a way to make a connection between your environment and to the food on
your plate; to make nature into a treasure hunt for the tummy.

(Click the images below to dive into more wonderful experiences!)
Our guests’ love of gardens, history and food has inspired us to create a day which incorporates all three, making a truly unique and memorable experience
Your Experience can include:
Explore the highlights of our beautiful English countryside and surround yourself with nature at one of the stunning estates in the Country.
Upon arrival to the Manor House, you will enjoy a private tour of the house before being taken into the local woodland where your forest foraging will begin.
We have a genuine love of wild British food and there is an abundance of edible plants and mushrooms that grow in our woodlands. You will have the opportunity
to learn about wild food identification with one of our professional chefs and expert foragers and source ingredients directly from the land before
returning to the house for a glorious lunch where the chef will use your ingredients to create superb dishes.

In woodland, you'll find a host of edible species ready to be transformed into jams, soups, cordials, wrappings, beers, wines and liqueurs. They include old favourites like elderflower, blackberries and sloes to the lesser known fat hen and ground elder.
