Their arrival day was designed to be welcoming and relaxing. While we arranged their check-in and hotel details, they met the skipper of their beautiful river launch and set off on a leisurely river cruise on a particularly beautiful stretch of the River Thames.
They indulged their love for palaces and castles over the next couple of days, enjoying private tours of the staterooms and grounds of Highclere Castle and Blenheim Palace.
En route to the New Forest, they had a wonderful day seeing Windsor from all perspectives including a horse and carriage ride, a private tour of the castle and afternoon tea on a luxury river launch.
The incredible Goodwood Revival was an obvious recommendation with their love of motor racing. In true 1950s style, they saw the cars and met the owners while enjoying fabulous hospitality.
The New Forest is a stunning national park and they explored it by car and on horseback, even trying their hands at the sport of kings, with a polo lesson. A polo lesson not only provides an exciting and unique experience, but also offers physical and mental benefits such as improving coordination, balance, focus, and teamwork skills.
En route to The Cotswolds, they saw Stonehenge at its best, with a sunrise visit to the Inner Stone Circle. Witnessing the magnificent Stonehenge at sunrise is a truly magical and unforgettable experience, as the ancient stones are bathed in a golden glow and surrounded by the peaceful stillness of the morning. They then enjoyed a brief visit to the beautiful city of Bath on their journey to Broadway in the north Cotswolds.
Our lovely clients really made the most of their time and explored the honey-coloured villages and towns by car and by bike (they are new converts to the delights of an e-bike). With our expert guides, they saw the very best of The Cotswolds and ate in the region’s best restaurants.
Oxford, the city of dreaming spires, offers a bridge between the Chilterns and Cotswolds and was the perfect destination on their journey back to London. They explored some of the magnificent colleges and climbed aboard a skippered punt to watch the beautiful views of the city from the river.
Upon arrival in London for their final evening, they ended on a real high with a private visit to the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels before enjoying dinner at The Shard, where they savoured world-class cuisine, experienced impeccable service and took in breathtaking views of London's skyline.
